Johnny & the Gasman (Johnny Wayne Ehlert and Dan Gasser) are a two-man rock & roll act. In addition to playing great music, they toss a lot of humor into the mix. We discussed ideas that would incorporate their name, along with music and humor. The guys were shot separately in the studio, and the other props shot at two different gas stations (the pump is a restored non-working one, while the pump was from the corner Total station). In addition to publicity posters, this image was printed as a five-foot banner, so the detail had to be pretty sharp. (For a closer look at the Gas Pump Guitar, go to the next image.)
