United Entertainment, the top talent agency in Kansas
City, wanted a "sexy, rock & roll image" for their
logo, to be used on folders, envelopes, t-shirts, etc. I wanted
the image to be very graphic. I helped model Terri Bedford place
her hands so that she'd look realistic playing the guitar, then
shot her in black & white. I took the best black & white
image and printed it on litho paper (super high contrast - no
gray tones), and then inked several parts of the image in that
had either disappeared in the transfer, or simply needed more
definition. (A lot of her hair was hand-drawn, as well as parts
of the guitar.) And yes, this was back in the early 80s B.C. (Before
Computers).
